In Telwatta, a place was created that gives children new opportunities for movement, sensory experience, shared activity and enjoyment.

A project under unusual conditions

In 2022, our second major international project took us to Telwatta in Sri Lanka. The focus was on children with disabilities and on creating an outdoor space that could be used in different ways for movement, sensory experience and shared play.

The project was planned and realised after the difficult years of the pandemic. It reinforced an important part of our approach: a good outdoor space does not prescribe one way of using it. It offers different points of access and room to explore, participate, observe and withdraw.
